The Rubu\u2019 Qarn Foundation for Creating Future Leaders and Innovators, represented by Sharjah Children, Sharjah Youth, and Sajaya Young Ladies of Sharjah<\/strong>, organized a parliamentary procedural session following the opening of the 18th session of the Sharjah Children Shura Council<\/strong> and the 9th session of the Sharjah Youth Shura Council<\/strong>, held under the theme \u201cServing the Community is Leadership.\u201d<\/strong> Delivered as part of the Foundation\u2019s Life Skills Pathway<\/strong>, the session reflected Sharjah\u2019s pioneering approach to empowering future generations and highlighted the participants\u2019 awareness of their national responsibilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The session took place at the Sharjah Consultative Council<\/strong> and was chaired by Humaid Saeed Al Zaabi<\/strong>, President of the Sharjah Children Shura Council, and Hamad Mohammed Ibrahim<\/strong>, President of the Sharjah Youth Shura Council. It provided members with the opportunity to present ideas and discuss proposals on a range of national and community issues affecting children and young people, while selecting the main topic for the councils\u2019 upcoming sessions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Designed as an open forum for dialogue and responsible decision-making, the session enabled members to demonstrate their ability to analyze current challenges and envision future solutions. Discussions reflected a strong sense of civic awareness and aligned with the aspirations of participants, the needs of society, and the values of the UAE.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The proposed topics covered environmental sustainability, national identity, volunteerism, quality education and innovation, mental and physical well-being, digital balance, educational tourism, integrating agriculture into school curricula, and strengthening family and community cohesion in line with the Year of the Family 2026<\/strong> initiatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Youth Council member Miral Abdullah Al Mazmi<\/strong> emphasized that the family is the cornerstone of both individual and community development. She highlighted the importance of addressing the challenges facing families amid rapid social change and proposed a future session titled \u201cThe Role of the Family in Building Individuals and Society.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Members of the Sharjah Children Shura Council presented a wide range of proposals. Nasser Saif Rashid Al Shamsi<\/strong> called for stronger protection of children’s right to clean air through legislation that monitors air quality and expands green spaces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Maitha Saeed Mohammed Al Mazrouei<\/strong> stressed the importance of strengthening national identity among children through education, extracurricular activities, and digital programs that balance technological advancement with Emirati values.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Mohammed Salem Khamis Al Mazrouei<\/strong> proposed expanding the concept of volunteerism to embrace children’s ideas and innovations, particularly in technology and environmental fields. Jouri Jassim Abdullah Al Zaabi<\/strong> suggested introducing a \u201cLife Skills\u201d<\/strong> educational pathway to connect classroom learning with practical application.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Hassan Jamal Al Jasmi<\/strong> highlighted the importance of digital well-being and proposed introducing a daily \u201cDigital Balance Hour.\u201d<\/strong> Sultan Omar Rashid Al Ali<\/strong> presented a vision for educational tourism in Sharjah, particularly in Mleiha<\/strong>, combining learning with recreation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Fatima Ali Hassan Al Ameeri<\/strong> recommended incorporating agriculture as a core school subject to strengthen food security awareness and national belonging, while Aisha Rashid Saeed Al Dhahouri<\/strong> proposed activating neighborhood councils to reinforce family cohesion and facilitate the transfer of values across generations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Members of the Sharjah Youth Shura Council also presented forward-looking proposals reflecting thoughtful analysis of contemporary issues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Obaid Rashid Al Shamsi<\/strong> proposed establishing a unified overseas scholarship office in Sharjah to align academic specializations with the emirate\u2019s future workforce needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Shamma Khalil Al Dhahouri<\/strong> addressed the psychological impact of academic pressure and suggested a session titled \u201cEducation Between Ambition and Psychological Pressure.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Abdulaziz Ahmed Al Amiri<\/strong> recommended reviewing school schedules\u2014particularly Friday attendance\u2014to strengthen family cohesion. Meera Ali Al Suwaidi<\/strong> highlighted the growing challenges of digital identity protection and deepfake technologies, proposing partnerships between technology and security sectors to safeguard young people online.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Ahmed Ali Al Owais<\/strong> emphasized preserving national identity and the Arabic language, while Maryam Younis Al Feil<\/strong> called for greater stability in educational systems for Grade 12 students. Mansour Hamad Al Kaabi<\/strong> discussed the challenges facing young entrepreneurs and advocated simplifying business procedures for youth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Hessa Ahmed Al Bloushi<\/strong> addressed school transportation challenges and proposed a unified bus scheduling system. Mohammed Ismail Al Zarooni<\/strong> called for a more balanced school day that better supports family life.
