The Rubu’ Qarn Life Skills Center, an affiliate of the Rubu’ Qarn Foundation for Creating Future Leaders and Innovators, has launched the inaugural edition of its Life Skills Season, targeting members of Sharjah Youth and Sajaya Young Ladies of Sharjah aged 13 to 18. The initiative is part of the Foundation’s long-term vision to equip future generations with practical life skills.
The season reflects the Center’s sustainable commitment to preparing young people for real-life challenges by offering an enriching learning environment that combines practical application with hands-on experiences. Built on the belief that empowering individuals begins with developing essential life skills, the program aims to strengthen personal and professional competencies while fostering self-reliance, teamwork, leadership, and resilience in a creative and supportive setting.
The first phase, dedicated to Sharjah Youth, featured four consecutive days of specialized programs and interactive activities designed according to a professional learning methodology. Participants engaged in ice-breaking exercises, leadership and career development sessions, and practical workshops in electrical wiring, automotive mechanics, and agriculture. The program also included field-based activities that promoted courage, creative thinking, and experiential learning.
Participants also met inspiring graduates of the Rubu’ Qarn Foundation, who shared their personal journeys and success stories through interactive discussions. These sessions encouraged self-discovery, connected participants with relatable role models, and demonstrated the journey from ideas to achievement. The phase concluded with desert adventure activities, field expeditions, treasure hunt challenges, and engaging evening gatherings that reinforced belonging and responsible citizenship.
The second phase of the season, designed for Sajaya Young Ladies of Sharjah, will take place from December 27 to 30, 2025. The program will offer a comprehensive learning experience covering cooking, sewing, agriculture, first aid, survival skills, morning fitness activities, inspirational talks, and an interactive desert trek aimed at building self-confidence, decision-making abilities, and teamwork.
The season will conclude with a showcase exhibition highlighting participants’ achievements through live demonstrations and small-scale vocational projects, including agricultural products, healthy dishes, and handmade fabric bags. The exhibition will reflect the transition from learning to practical application and from training to tangible impact.
Through this initiative, the Rubu’ Qarn Life Skills Center reaffirms its commitment to preparing generations capable of adapting to today’s challenges while anticipating the future—young people equipped with practical skills and strong human values that will support their personal and professional success.
